The Kurgan Oil Refinery Company began its journey in 2013 with a refinery designed to process crude oil from the Kurgan Region, primarily producing asphalt products. From these modest beginnings, the company has expanded significantly in both scope and expertise, evolving into a more sophisticated refining operation. Today, like other business units in the Kurgan Oil Refinery network, it is recognized as a premier employer. The company takes immense pride in its loyal, dedicated, and highly skilled workforce, which upholds a legacy of honesty, integrity, and excellence.
Our Mission
Since its inception in 2013 with the acquisition of a refinery in the Kurgan Region, Kurgan Oil Refinery has grown into a Fortune 500 company and a dominant force in Russia’s oil market. By capitalizing on strategic acquisitions and growth opportunities, we have established ourselves as the market leader in the industry. Today, our integrated energy network, encompassing refineries, retail outlets, and a robust logistics system, serves all major regions across Russia.
Our growth-oriented mindset has also led to expansion across Europe. Kurgan Oil Refinery in 2023, along with the Kazaknstan retail acquisition, we now own and operate 124,000-bpd of combined refining capacity, related multi-modal logistics systems and 31 retail locations.
